假设一个年轻人高中毕业，如何入行呢？
首先，他或她要去上大学，在温村，就是BCIT的Plumbing专业或者HVAC专业
这些个专业，是学徒制，在国内进工厂做过学徒的都懂咋回事（我做过学徒童工），有跟犯罪分子犯罪记录一样长的LONG RAP SHEET（Wait List), 对申请人的要求相当高，满足条件往往也要排期等几年
好不容易，进了班级开始上学了，又面临一关，找实习单位，这个学校不管，学生自己解决
那么水管工学徒，拿到毕业证需要多少实习小时呢，BCIT的官方数据是至少6300 hours，学校上课小时数4个Level加在一块，统共只有900小时，换言之，大部分时间，就是在干活的时间远远大于在课堂的时间，比滑大CS的COOP接地气多了
华人年轻学生，第一个挑战是如何找到实习单位，这个很难很难，一般专业对口的公司不论大小，都首先认血脉，其次认肤色，再次认体力，最后才看成绩
也就是说，如果父母亲戚家里人没人开公司，找到实习单位会非常费劲
就算找到了，也不容易混，这跟大厂写程序，BUG百出，经常奔溃也可以混个一年半载，被雷了还有PACKAGE可以白嫖完全不同，学徒工搞砸一个现场，比如装洗碗机，师傅一小时，学徒工干一整天也就算了，如果收拾家伙走人之后客户打电话来骂漏了水，有一回就完犊子了，根本没有忏悔重来一遍的机会
完成6300 hours实习还没被用人单位开除且顺利毕业的幸运儿学徒工中，依然有一半人一辈子都通不过，拿不到证书，一辈子都只能做小工，在师傅鞍前马后点头哈腰
诸位看官，你看明白了吗？如果你家里没矿，父母没有开公司给人修水管做的很成功需要招人（假设第一代移民没有七八姑八大姨在同城），大概率你的子女连做水管工学徒的资格都没有，这就是现实，很扎心
这还不算，毕业了拿到文凭其实屁都不算，还要考省政府的证书，RED SEAL，有了证书，才算官准立案，可以独立操作，否则只能做小工，能耐再大也被师傅压一头混不出头
哪里像CS，随便读个野鸡社区学院，更不用说高大上神圣不可侵犯的滑校，只要年景好，是个人都有机会进大厂毕业就拿四十万拿的手软，还觉得被LOWBALL义愤填膺委屈的不要不要
一个靠个人实力加家庭实力，一个靠刷题押宝加风调雨顺，哪个含金量更高，不用我再多说了吧？
