The PhotolightFacial is a gentle, but effective procedure that helps to reduce facial redness, Rosacea, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and fine wrinkles. The result is a more even complexion and healthy glow to your skin. Many women enjoy the PhotolightFacial due to its non-invasive nature and the fact that after just one treatment, many women find they need less makeup and foundation. Call us at Elite Laser & Aesthetics to book your free consultation with an experienced and fully licensed physician to learn how we can use the latest technology to enhance your skin’s natural look and feel.
How does the PhotolightFacial Work?
The PhotolightFacial procedure uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to target imperfections in the more superficial or epidermal layer of the skin. Fine blood vessels and facial redness are reduced through coagulation of the blood vessels. Abnormal pigmentation, sun-damage, and freckles are destroyed and brought to the surface. IPL also helps to generate some collagen formation as well as some skin tightening, helping to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The results are subtle after each individual treatment, but noticeable improvement is usually seen by the third or fourth treatment.
Do I need to do anything before the PhotolightFacial treatment?
Tanning (including self-tanners) should be avoided for at least 3 to 4 weeks before and 2 week after each treatment. The face should also be free of any makeup or heavy or scented creams prior to treatment. Exfoliating creams, such as Retinoic or glycolic acid, should be discontinued for about 2 days prior as well.
How long does it take?
The procedure itself takes about 30 minutes for a full face treatment, but times can vary according to the size of the areas being treated. Doing a full face and neck, for example, can take up to 45 minutes.
What will I feel?
Most people feel a sudden warmth or snapping sensation, similar to an elastic band being snapped against the skin. Some people are also startled be the sudden flash of bright light. Cooling or numbing creams, such as EMLA, are not required.
Is it safe?
PhotoloightFacials are very safe for lighter skin types. Some mild redness may be seen immediately after each treatment, but usually resolves within hours to days. As with any laser type treatment there is always a risk of burning, blistering, hyperpigmentation (darkening) or hypopigmentation (lightening) of the skin.
How many treatments are required?
The treatment results are often very subtle. On average, 4 to 6 treatments may be required in order to achieve the desired results. Some people require more treatments due to the condition of their skin. Touch up treatments may also be required from time to time.
How long do the results last?
Results are variable. The improvement is generally permanent, however it does not reverse the ageing process. How long the effect lasts for generally depends on how you care for your skin between treatments. With proper skin care, such as the Dr. Obagi system, the effect may last months to years.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
