I just got my slim n lift from ebay. I hate it. I am a size 18 and ordered a size XXL. It was horrible. I was excited to try it on until it cut off the circulation in my thighs and belly. I actually go a stomach ache from wearing it for 20 minutes. Finally i cut my way out of it and threw it in the trash. I think i will stick with they gym instead of falling for the quick fix.
I saw those reviews before I bought, that's why I found a good deal finally. I think depends on the size you choose, and only $15 bucks, why not try it? turns out I feel better than not wearing it. :)
