I was very late working in company on a "911" project, about 1:00 in the morning, I drove my car back home, I was drove on Leslie from south to north direction, I saw a Benz parking on the edge of the road with light on inside of the car at intersection of Major Mac and Leslie. South East coner, it is jungle place close to nowhere.
I never see people walking there.
I was very worry, why this car parking there with light on in midnight?
what happen if somebody hurt in this car and need help?
Because I can not see what's inside, so I park my car side of road in distance and call 911 using my cell,
The operator sounds not patient to hear my information at all through I try all my best to make my words clear, short possible.
This is the word from her mouse is:
"SIR, this is not emergency case, please not use 911 for this type of call again, now we know it".
Next thing from another side is: "wo...". Phone is hung up.
Now I try all my best NOT call police even see something happen,
but on another side from the bottom of my heart: I need use 911.
For a period of time, I was struggling.
Right now I know what I should do, I need keep my bottom line, if I see somebody need immediate protection for their life, I will call 911. Even police operator shout to me. I truely belive that it is our right and responsibility to make our community safer, better by helping each other, if we don't help each other, can you expect police to protect us 24 x 7 with this kind of work attitude. if we don't belive that, our community will become criminal's paradise very soon.
We need use 911, I hope YOU can pick up your cell and call 911 when you see somebody need emergency help, because one day the people who need immediate help might be YOU.
